This piece began as a spontaneous watercolor sketch, guided by color. As I worked on it, a dear friend was going through multiple surgeries, fighting for his life. I found myself quietly praying… just a little more time. This painting became that prayer. I developed it into an oil painting, you can see parts of that process here. He made it through! My heart feels lighter🤍
