Verra is a marketplace for handmade goods. If you create original work by hand, whether that's ceramics, jewelry, textiles, woodwork, art, or any other craft, you're welcome to sell here. You can also sell handmade goods made by other artists, as long as you have their authorization to do so.
Selling is currently available to sellers based in the United States only. We're focused on handmade items, not mass-produced or resold goods. Everything you list should be handmade by you or by an artist who has authorized you to sell on their behalf.
You can sell prints of your own artwork or photography, and you can use a printing service to produce and ship them. We don't expect artists to own production equipment.
The product doesn't matter. A poster, a shirt, a koozie, a mug, all fine, as long as the artwork on it is original two-dimensional work you created by hand.
AI-generated artwork is not allowed, on prints or anything else. That holds no matter what it's printed on.
Copying a physical object also isn't a print. Casting, molding, 3D printing, or scanning an original and reproducing it doesn't qualify. Neither does buying a product someone else designed and reselling it.
Full details are in the Terms of Service.
We may ask you to show that a product is your own original, handmade work. That could mean process photos, a shot of the original piece, or source files. This applies to anything listed on Verra, prints included.
If we ask and you can't show it, the listing comes down. Repeated issues can cost you selling privileges.
Your work must be your own. Items that use someone else's intellectual property can't be sold on Verra, even if you made them by hand. Common examples include:
Using licensed fabric or materials doesn't give you the right to sell finished goods made from them. Listings that infringe on someone else's copyright or trademark will be removed, and repeated violations may result in account suspension.
Any Verra account can become a seller. From your profile, tap "Start Selling" to begin the setup process. You'll need to:
Connect a Stripe account. This is how you'll get paid. Stripe handles all payment processing. Your earnings are transferred to your Stripe account, and from there you can transfer them to your bank account. If you don't have a Stripe account, you can create one during setup.
Set up your shipping policy. Choose whether to charge a flat shipping rate per order, per item, or offer free shipping. You can also set your return policy.
Create your first listing. Add photos, a title, description, price, and quantity available.
Once your Stripe account is connected and verified, you're ready to start selling.
Each product listing includes:
You can edit or deactivate listings at any time from your profile.
Verra charges a 5% seller fee on each sale. This fee is calculated on your listed price plus any shipping you charge, and is deducted from your earnings when a buyer completes a purchase.
A payment processing fee (2.9% of your sale amount + $0.30 per transaction) is also deducted to cover Stripe's processing costs on your portion of the sale.
To keep seller fees low, Verra adds a 10% service fee to the buyer's total. This means more of your sale price stays with you. The buyer sees the final price including this fee at checkout.
For example, if you list an item for $50 with free shipping:
There are no listing fees, monthly fees, or subscription costs. You only pay when you make a sale.
Your earnings become available 10 days after you ship an order. This waiting period helps ensure the buyer receives their item and allows time to resolve any issues.
Getting paid works in two steps:
Transfer your earnings from Verra to your Stripe account. Once your balance is available, request a payout from your Seller Dashboard. Funds typically arrive in your Stripe account within 1-2 business days.
Transfer funds from your Stripe account to your bank account. Open the Stripe Dashboard from Settings to transfer your balance to your connected bank account. Transfer timing and settings are managed in Stripe.
You can view your available balance, pending earnings, and payout history in your Seller Dashboard.
Verra combines social features with commerce. When you list a product, you can also create posts to share your work, your process, or the story behind what you make. Posts appear in your followers' feeds and help you build an audience.
Buyers can follow you, like your posts, and leave comments. Building a presence on the platform helps more people discover your work.
Plenty of artists sell in more than one place. You can link to your own site or your shops on other platforms from your Verra profile.
Keep those links in your profile. Posts, listings, product photos, and messages shouldn't send people somewhere else to buy. A post that exists mainly to point at an outside storefront will be removed. See Off-Platform Promotion in the Terms of Service.
When someone buys from you, you'll receive a notification and the order will appear in your Seller Dashboard. From there you can:
To ship an order:
Once you mark an order as shipped, the buyer is notified and your earnings begin their 10-day holding period before becoming available for payout.
You can cancel an order at any time before you mark it as shipped. Once an order is marked as shipped, it cannot be cancelled through the platform.
When you cancel an order, the buyer is refunded automatically and both you and the buyer receive a notification.
If an issue comes up after an order has shipped, reach out to the buyer directly through the messaging feature to work out a resolution.
Verra reserves the right to cancel and refund orders that are not shipped in a timely manner.
