The Piece
These 12 oz. mugs are only sold singularly. Thrown with a cone six white stoneware clay body. Decorated with painted glazes and washes for accents and finished with a cone six black glaze. Some wax resist was used to leave the clay body and wash work exposed for more contrast.

The heart of my work is meant to connect the simple and sublime of life’s impressions to be personally evaluated with each use. The pace of our world has changed how we interact with our surroundings and how we serve and hold what fuels us. My work is the catalyst to connect us back to these times and slow us down to take in the moment we may be currently experiencing by forming culture of holding, using and admiring something that is made by hand.
