There are so many moments when I wish I could *just paint faster.* Because that would mean that I’d be able to paint more, be more productive and make more money (hopefully.) But that’s not reality, and honestly, that’s not the business or lifestyle I want to build. My goal is to create items with care, intention, love and imbue my expertise into everything I create. I want to create heirloom pieces, or at least pieces that you keep with you for a very long time, and that bring you joy when you notice them. The fast paced, “must pump out a bunch of original artwork all the time” is not a business I have any interest in being part of. These new hat designs were created with love and care, and have found their way to their new homes already. Two women who were so excited to wear them and show them off to their friends. There will be more coming, of course, but just know that all the work I create is from my own hands, my own experience, my heart, my mind, my hours of learning my craft. It’s all done by me, a single human, so that you, another single human, can find joy in a small piece of art. This collab is done with Belle and the Bear who also has very similar values to me and creates the hat bands, again, by hand and by herself, so that you can adorn yourself with something beautiful.
